48-year-old man from Grand Falls arrested


On September 6, 2024, the Grand Falls Police Force assisted by members of Integrated Provincial Law Enforcement Unit from Woodstock and Edmundston, arrested a 48-year-old man from the Grand Falls area. The man was intercepted in a motor vehicle and arrested for drug trafficking.  During a search of his person and vehicle, police seized large quantities of suspected cocaine, Benzimidazole pills called “Shaddy 8”, cannabis, cash, knives, and drug paraphernalia. The man was released the same day under a summons to appear in Edmundston Provincial Court on December 3, 2024.

 

The Provincial Integrated Enforcement Unit is made up of members of the N.B. Department of Public Safety, municipal police forces and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. The unit was created to combat drug-related crime throughout the province.
