When: Saturday Dec 16th, 2023
Start Time: 6 p.m. (registration will start at 4:30pm to allow you to prepare your float. Participating floats will line up in the parking lot behind the municipal building, where the Grand Falls Police Force station is located.
Where: The parade will start at Pleasant Street and move along Broadway Boulevard to Victoria Street. Participating floats will return to the municipal building through Portage Road.
If you wish to participate in the parade with a float, please note the following guidelines, designed to create an enjoyable experience for all:
Be creative! The more innovative, the better! In following with this year's theme and since the parade is after dark, the use of lights is strongly encouraged.
Music is welcomed and Christmas themed music is encouraged. Please be mindful that it is a family event when making your music selection.
When choosing the size of your car/trailer, keep in mind that there will be snow and vehicles on Broadway Boulevard, and therefore the traffic lane may be limited. For this reason, over- 15 feet wide vehicles are not permitted.
To allow the parade to progress without delay and for the safety of all, handouts along the parade route is not permitted. Handouts will be welcomed during the wait to meet Santa at the Town Hall reception.
To avoid confusion, only one Santa Clause will be permitted throughout the parade and will be provided by the municipality. We encourage you instead to be creative with Elf’s, Snowmen, or other characters if you wish.
