By-Law D-1 - Grand Falls Central Business Development Corporation

(Notice under Section 15 (3) of the Local Governance Act)

The Grand Falls Municipal Council intends to adopt a by-law adopting the budget for the Grand Falls Business Development Corporation for the year 2026.

Please take notice that the content of the budget proposed by the Grand Falls Central Business Development Corporation for the year 2026 is as follows:

2026 OPERATING BUDGET

REVENUE:

-Promotional Revenue               $59,260.00

EXPENSES (OPERATING):

-Salaries, Benefits and Communication  $25,940.00

-Gen. Expenses & Admin               $1,750.00

-Marketing and Promotions           $25,771.00

-Projects                           $5,799.00

Total Expenses (Operating)          $59,260.00

SURPASS OR LOSS                         $0

Please also take notice that, for the implementation of the said budget, an extraordinary contribution of $0.20 for each $100 of the assessment value on non-residential properties located in the business improvement zone will be required.

Objections to this by-law may be submitted in writing to the Clerk’s Office at the Grand Falls Municipal Building, 131 Pleasant Street, Grand Falls or on the website www.grandsault.com.

The Council plans to proceed with the adoption of the by-law at its public meeting on December 17^th, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber of the Grand Falls Municipal Building.
