The Fearfest is a signature fall event held from October 22 to 26, 2025, organized by the Grand Falls Regional Municipality.
Known for its inclusive and imaginative programming, the festival brings the community together through two main attractions: the Pumpkin Path, a collaborative outdoor display filled with seasonal charm, and the Haunted House, an immersive experience designed to entertain visitors of all ages.

Property Decoration Contest
Decorate your property into Halloween and you could WIN!
The Grand Falls Regional Municipality invites the public to take part in its Halloween property decoration contest!

Three cash prizes to be won:
1st prize – $150 (chosen by the organizing committee)
2nd prize – $100 (chosen by the organizing committee)
3rd prize – participation prize

Pumpkin Trail
Discover a whimsical fall experience along the Pumpkin Trail, where over 400 creatively decorated pumpkins are on display. Brought to life by the imagination and talent of local students, residents, children, and artists, each pumpkin adds its own splash of color and charm to the trail. Animated characters, captivating music, and delicious local food trucks round out this enchanting evening—perfect for families and visitors of all ages.
The Haunted House
Step into the Haunted House for a spine-tingling, immersive adventure! Wander through a maze of themed rooms filled with eerie surprises, chilling characters, and unexpected twists around every corner. Carefully designed to be both thrilling and safe, the experience offers just the right amount of fright for visitors of all ages. Don’t forget to capture the moment at the photo booth—and if the scares leave you hungry, stop by the on-site canteen for a tasty treat before heading back into the night.
Mystery at the museum

This year, the Grand Falls Historical Society invites you to experience Mystery at the Museum, October 22–26 at the Grand Falls Museum located at 66 Madawaska Road.
Based on the popular escape room concept, this one-hour activity challenges you and your team to solve puzzles, find hidden clues, and uncover secrets before time runs out. Blending local history with a chilling dose of fiction, the museum becomes the perfect stage for mystery and suspense.
$10 / person or $25 for groups of 3 to 6 (maximum) – cash only.
