The Toponymy Committee has been mandated to recommend to the municipal Council the names of all public sites built by the municipality, including streets, parks, bridges, buildings, halls, recreational facilities, and cultural etc., in addition to analysing all naming request addressed to the Grand Falls Régional Municipality.
Avenue renaming project
The Grand Falls Regional Municipality is launching the first phase of a renaming project aimed at eliminating ambiguities related to street names. At present, certain avenue names exist in both the Grand Falls and Saint-André neighborhoods, which can hinder the speed and accuracy of emergency response services such as paramedics, police, and firefighters. To address this issue, only the avenues in one of the two neighborhoods will be renamed, ensuring that addresses are clearly distinguished and that emergency services can carry out their work more efficiently.

TheGrand Falls Regional Municipality invites you to share your suggestions and feedback as part of this renaming project, which seeks to clearly differentiate certain avenues and facilitate the work of emergency responders. You have until October 31, 2025, to participate. Thank you for your contribution.
