About the event
The New Brunswick Medical Society (NBMS) will host a community forum on the state of primary care at the Roland-Lafrance room, at the municipal building located at 131 Pleasant Street, Grand Falls, on September 26, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
The NBMS has conducted an analysis of primary care resources and access across New Brunswick, and our findings indicate that Grand Falls is at risk due to the demographics of both patients and providers. This situation is already affecting the quality of healthcare services available in the community, and without significant and coordinated action by stakeholders, communities, Regional Health Authorities, and the government, it is expected to worsen.
The forum will include a presentation of the primary care data specific to Grand Falls, along with best practices that have been effective in other regions. This presentation will be followed by a discussion with local physicians and a Q&A session.
