Annual Donation to Acanthus Gallery

On behalf of the municipal council, Mayor Bertrand Beaulieu presented a check to Gaitan Michaud, president of the local non-profit organization, Acanthus Gallery.

The Grand Falls Regional Municipality has committed to providing an annual contribution of $10,000 over a three-year period, for the years 2026, 2027, and 2028.

This financial support aims to foster the growth and vitality of artistic and cultural activities within the municipality.

Acanthus Gallery’s mission is to enrich the community through diverse artistic programming. It offers exhibitions, artist residencies, and creative workshops across various disciplines, with a particular focus on visual arts, pottery, and wood carving.

Support from the public and partners enables the gallery to continue inspiring artists and providing meaningful artistic experiences for people of all ages.

This partnership reflects the importance placed on culture and artistic development within the community.
