The Grand Falls Regional Municipality is issuing a call for interest for professional and emerging artists residing in the province of New Brunswick to create an outdoor mural that will enhance our public space and reflect the cultural identity of our region.
Project objective
Create an original, durable, and inspiring mural that highlights:
Local pride and the sense of belonging among community members
The unique character of the municipality
The heritage and culture of the region
Inclusion and diversity
The vitality and community dynamics
Location and dimensions of the wall
Location: Exterior wall of the Grand Falls Curling Club, on the side facing the baseball field, providing high visibility from public spaces.
Wall dimensions: 137’ width x 16’ height
Surface type: siding
Site context: The mural will be in a highly frequented public space, near the Anglophone school, a campground, the Golden Age Club, the tourist center, the baseball field, local shops, and the main boulevard, ensuring maximum visibility to both residents and visitors.
Specific conditions: The artist should consider sun exposure, weather conditions, and long-term maintenance when developing the mural.
Eligibility
This call is open to:
Individual artists or collectives residing in New Brunswick
Those with experience in mural creation or public art
Those available to start the project in the near future
Project Budget
The proposed budget must take into consideration all elements required for the completion of the mural, including but not limited to:
Artist fees
Materials
Required equipment
Any transportation costs or technical assistance expenses
How to Submit Your Application
Interested artists are invited to submit a complete application package including all required elements, as outlined below:
A preliminary mural concept (note: the final concept will be developed in collaboration with the selected artist and the selection committee)
An artist statement
A detailed cost estimate
Photographic examples of previous worK
Submissions must be sent before May 25, 2026, by email to cac@grandsault.ca or by mail to the following address:

Please ensure that your application is complete and meets all requirements to be considered by the selection committee. Only selected artists will be contacted for the next stage.
