GRAND FALLS, March 20, 2024 - The Council of the Grand Falls Regional Municipality unveiled its two community Grandioses for the month of March at its public meeting last night, Normand Caron and Marco Leblanc.
"Congratulations to our two new Grandioses volunteers, and our warmest thanks to them for their time and passion invested in the well-being of our community!" shared Grand Falls Regional Municipality Mayor, Bertrand Beaulieu.
Normand Caron - Volunteer
Normand Caron has made it his personal responsibility to groom and maintain the trails at the Kahoutek Cross-Country Ski Club. He has devoted himself to this task with passion for no less than 40 years. Over the years, Normand Caron has demonstrated his ingenuity, using the means at his disposal to surface the trails, rain, or shine. The great reputation of this recreational and tourism facility is what it is today, thanks to Normand Caron's commitment to offering quality cross-country ski trails to the delight of people from near and far.
Marco Leblanc - Volunteer
Marco Leblanc doesn't count the hours he invests in various community organizations. From the Grand Falls Association for Community Living to the New Brunswick Student Leadership Association, the Drug-Free Community Committee, the Global Skills Council and the International Student Class Leader, Marco Leblanc has a real desire to make a positive impact in his community by promoting inclusiveness and self-reliance. His sense of leadership, his humility and his compassionate nature make Marco Leblanc an exceptional citizen and a key person to accompany and support our young people.
At each monthly meeting, new Community Grandioses will be named. A ceremony for all recipients is scheduled for April 17, as part of Volunteer Week. The community is invited to submit nominations by completing the nomination form available on the municipality's website at: https://www.grandsault.com/grandioses.
