On August 3, 2002, 78-year-old Irene Godreau was reported missing from the nursing home where she lived in Grand Falls. She was last seen at approximately 2:30 p.m. on the front porch of the facility. Because she had difficulty walking, there were immediate concerns for her safety and her ability to travel far on her own. Despite extensive searches conducted at the time, Irene has never been found.
