Notice - amendment to Municipal By-law No. 1900 entitled “Zoning By-Law”

(pursuant to 111 of the Community Planning Act, Chapter 19)
Take notice that the Council of the Grand Falls Regional Municipality is considering an amendment to Municipal By-law No. 1900 entitled “Zoning By-Law”.
The objective of the proposed amendment is to amend section 19.1.1.24 of the Zoning By-law in order to maintain the exclusion applicable to Bélanger and Ouellette Streets, while allowing, as an exception, apartment buildings containing 48 units or more on Ouellette Street, solely within the hotel zone identified in Schedule A-2019-05.
This amendment is intended to clarify the conditions applicable to multi-residential buildings on Ouellette Street and to limit this exception to the hotel zone identified in Schedule A-2019-05.

An area allowing a hotel or motel only for the lots having frontage on Ouellette Street and located between Main Street and Caswell Street.

Any interested person may review the proposed by-law from Monday to Friday, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., at the municipal building located at 131 Pleasant Street, Grand Falls, NB.
A meeting to consider written objections will be held on Tuesday, September 15th, 2026 at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the municipal building located at 131 Pleasant Street, Grand Falls, NB. Any person wishing to speak for or against the written objections has the right to be heard.
