By-Law S-10 A BY-LAW CONCERNING EXTERIOR FIRES IN GRAND FALLS

(Notice under Section 15 (3) of the Local Governance Act)

A public notice is hereby given that the Grand Falls Municipal Council intends to

adopt a by-law concerning exterior fires within the Grand Falls Regional Municipality.

The purpose of this by-law is to establish clear rules regarding the use of exterior

fireplaces and open-air burning, in order to ensure public safety, protect public health,

and prevent fire hazards.

Interested persons may review the proposed amendment at the Clerk’s office at the Grand

Falls Town Hall, 131 Pleasant Street, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday or

Council may proceed with the first and second readings of the by-law at its public

meeting scheduled for August 19, 2025, at 3:00 p.m., in the Council Chamber at the

Grand Falls Town Hall.
